Types of Clay Targets

Standard Targets: These are the most basic clay targets used in shotgun sports. They are circular discs, typically measuring 4.33 inches (110 mm) in diameter. Standard targets are launched into the air and can be used in disciplines like trap, skeet, and sporting clays.

Midi Targets: Midi targets are smaller than standard targets, with a diameter of 4 inches (102 mm). They are used to provide a faster and more challenging target presentation. Midi targets are often used in sporting clays to simulate farther and faster shots.

Battue Targets: Battue targets have a distinct curved shape, resembling a quarter moon or smile. They are known for their erratic flight patterns, making them more challenging to hit. Battue targets are often used in sporting clays to simulate unpredictable bird flight.

Rabbit Targets: Rabbit targets are designed to simulate the movement of a running rabbit. They have a flatter profile and a more irregular flight pattern, skimming along the ground or bouncing in a zigzag motion. Rabbit targets add a unique challenge to sporting clays and simulate hunting scenarios.
